Below are pictures of commonly captured fish. If you fish in the areas of Malibu, Palos Verdes, Long Beach and Newport Beach, you might see these 5 fish (circled in red) that, if eaten, can be toxic to your health.

Chemicals in your Fish

Even though there can be chemicals in many kinds of fish, here are the ways you can reduce consuming chemicals, such as mercury, through eating fish. As a friendly reminder, cleaning and cooking your fish will NOT get rid of mercury.
